After a bad road trip, the Rays redeem themselves by sweeping the Oakland Athletics at home.  Tampa Bay outscored the A’s 17-4 in their three-game sweep. The sweep included a 1-0 shutout of Oakland on Saturday where the Rays pitching staff held them to just three hits. Rays pitcher Roberto Hernandez finally got his first win as a Ray on Sunday. He pitched six innings, gave up one run, three walks, but struck out seven. Yunel Escobar also played well Sunday as he went 3-for-4 with two RBI and scoring a run.
