Today, Nick Swisher officially turned down the Yankees $13.3mm qualifying offer. The fact that whoever Swisher signs will lose their first round pick hasn't deterred teams as Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports that the Rangers, Mariners, Orioles, Nationals, Giants, Phillies and Braves have all shown varying levels of interest.
Teams are interested in Swisher as he can not only play the corner outfield spots but all first base. Last season, Swisher logged 109 games in right field and 41 games at first base.
Swisher hit .272/.364/.473 with 24 home runs and 93 RBIs.
