Let’s get everyone all caught up to speed with the San Francisco Giants and their arbitration eligible players. On Friday, the Giants hammered out deals with four of their six arbitration eligible players.
The following four players have agreed to terms and avoid arbitration are catcher Buster Posey ($8 million), outfielder Hunter Pence ($13.8 million), reliever Jose Mijares ($1.8 million), and outfielder Gregor Blanco ($1.35 million).
That leaves two players that are going through the arbitration process. That’s closer Sergio Romo, and infielder Joaquin Arias.
Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports (via Twitter) that Romo filed for $4.5 million, and the Giants were at $2.675 million. I haven’t heard any figures for Arias at this time.
