San Francisco Giants Baseball (SF Giants...:
With Friday’s deadline looming to tender Brian Wilson a contract. The San Francisco Giants are starting to hear the buzz of other teams that might be looking to add Wilson to their bullpen mix.
Ken Rosenthal of FoxSports.com says (via Twitter) the Red Sox could have interest in the New Hampshire native Wilson. Rosenthal also points out that Wilson lives in Southern California during the offseason, so don’t rule out the Dodgers. They could use another late inning option with Brandon League.
Tim Brown of Yahoo Sports (via Twitter) is hearing Wilson’s first choice to pitch in 2013 (outside of San Francisco) is for the Dodgers.
A lot of Giants fans on SF Giants Rumors Facebook page are very upset that the Dodgers would even be a possibility for him to consider. Only time will tell what’s in store for Wilson and the Giants. Let’s just hope he doesn’t follow in Juan Uribe‘s (latest Giant to leave and play for the Dodgers) footsteps.

We have all speculated that the team would offer him a lower base salary with a ton of incentives if Wilson can produce on the field. I don’t think any Giants fans are ready to see the beard wearing any other...
After the Yankees learned that Soriano had opted out of his contract. And if Mariano Rivera had decided not to return for another season, the Yankees might have felt insecure about the back end of their bullpen. And if Brian Wilson was non-tendered by the Giants as has been speculated, the stars might have aligned to bring Brian Wilson to New York. Can you imagine?
San Francisco Giants closer Brian Wilson, who took the Bay Area by storm during the Giants World Series run with his beard-related hijinx, may not be long for the team. The Giants are reportedly kicking around the idea of nontendering Wilson by Friday's deadline, due to the closer missing nearly all of the 2012 season following his second Tommy John surgery and Wilson's desire...
The San Francisco Giants might be ready to trim The Beard. Right-handed closer Brian Wilson, known for his wildly long and dark beard, might not receive a contract offer from the team by the Friday deadline, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. From what I hear, Wilson and the team are not exactly seeing

The fireman position in baseball has been long gone thanks to the five man rotation and the realm of the speciality bullpen arms. Bullpens are intricately built for numerous late game situations, with LOOGYs and ROOGYs and the like evolving from the multiple-inning relievers of old who took on all comers. But one man has a chance to bring back that very position if his performance...
The glow of the World Series fades with winter’s arrival. When the nights are far too dark and cold for baseball you know it’s time to start talking free agency. The San Francisco Giants won’t have any major headlines this offseason, but their new acquisitions must be perfect fits for the team to contend next year.
With the nouveau-rich Dodgers able to burn mountains of cash...
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.

I know, I know, Romo has a beard…but it’s always changing. After all, he started this year with the Melky chinstrap beard, as many guys grew, before getting it bigger. Last year, there was the Millard Fillmore (which was my favorite.

Well this is an interesting possibility. Scott Lauber, former Phillies writer and current Red Sox writer for the Boston Globe had a very interesting reaction to FoxSports.com's Ken Rosenthal. Rosenthal mentioned that the Dodgers and Red Sox were possible landing places for Giants closer Brian Wilson. Lauber chimed in:
Now, of course, if the...
The Rangers are favorites to land Zack Greinke, according to Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register.
For what it’s worth, I was told today the #Rangers are the favorites for Greinke. It could all just be posturing now. Wait and see.
That goes against what Jim Bowden of ESPN said though.
Los Angeles Dodgers are considered the front runner for Zack Greinke according to source...
