John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle says he spoke with Matt Cain‘s agent Rick Landrum, and he said “We’ll never give up hope.” Landrum is talking about the Opening Day deadline. Shea believes one or both sides could budge and a deal could be made as we get close to the April 6 opener. With Tim Lincecum making $40.5 million over these next two years. Do you think Cain should expect to get $20 million a year, or demand more? Shea says, six years and at least $120 million wouldn’t seem out of the question.
