The Boston Red Sox have reached a three-year, $39 million agreement with free-agent outfielder Shane Victorino, according to ESPN Boston. The deal will be finalized once Victorino passes a physical. Victorino, 32, was traded in midseason from the Philadelphia Phillies to the Los Angeles Dodgers.   The three-time Golden Glove winner had a down 2011-12 season with a combined .255 with 11 homers and 55 RBIs Victorino, a natural center fielder, could play right field for Boston if his defensive skills impress manager John Farrell. "It's probably the toughest right field in baseball to play, just in terms of the space to cover," Farrell said. "So that range comes into play, and yet you try to combine the best range available with some offensive production. "It might not be your prototypical type of right fielder where it's a power bat, because we do value the defense in that area. That's not to exclude anyone, but defense takes a high priority in that position at Fenway."
