PLAYERS: Josh Hamilton
TEAMS: Texas Rangers

As there's now a real possibility the Rangers will be celebrating with a champagne/beer shower for the fourth time this post season in a day or so, that means we'll be breaking out the Ginger Ale again for Josh Hamilton. This seems like a perfect time to mention some Texas Rangers fan created T-Shirts someone told me about a few days ago. Check out this logo: The shirts are marketed under the line of "True Fans Know", and they don't mention the Rangers or use any trademarked logos or anything like that, so MLB can't come down on 'em - smart move. Thought I'd send along the link to the place if you want to check 'em out. Here goes: http://www.truefansknow.com Does make me wonder - what does Josh DO after the Ginger Ale thing is over and the rest of the team boozes it up?

The Rangers Shouldn’t Sign CJ Wilson

The Texas Rangers have a major dilemma. If they can finish off the St. Louis Cardinals tonight, they’ll be world champs. Then they have to decide whether they should bring back number CJ Wilson. CJ Wilson was a reliever turned starter and it was one of the best decisions that could have been made for both parties. With that being said, CJ Wilson is looking at nearly a 100 million...

Lack of HRs not stressing Hamilton

Josh Hamilton was rifling through his bag Wednesday afternoon, trying to find the right bat to sign for a fan. Hitters are superstitious about this kind of thing, always making sure they don't give one away that has a few more hits in it. Rangers pitcher C.J.

Albert Pujols Prepared For Game 6 By Shopping At Best Buy

St. Louis Cardinals slugger Albert Pujols prepared for Game 6 of the World Series by shopping at Best Buy and buying a DVD. Here’s a photo of Pujols that was uploaded by your_shirt_guy on yfrog. He was pretty excited. “A friend of mine’s mom ran into Albert Pujols at best buy today,” your_shirt_guy wrote. “I wonder what that movie is in his hand....

Washington's success isn't dumb luck

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Before Game 5, Rangers manager Ron Washington was asked about his "unorthodox" managing style. The words unorthodox being that of the questioner and not my opinion. He went into a decently long answer about being aggressive, knowing his team and following his gut. Then he dropped a truth bullet. "I'm not as dumb as people think I am,"...

Plaschke Interviews Scioscia On The Napoli Trade

Sad, really: "If you say our organization didn't value Mike Napoli, it's absolutely wrong," he said. "The hindsight of this trade is 20/20 vision, and right now, obviously in the playoffs, that vision carries lot of weight. But I still think there is a lot of upside of what our team can become with Vernon." This is delusional. Vernon Wells, 2010 road...

Wilson good enough in possible walk-off for Rangers

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- When C.J. Wilson walked off the mound during the sixth inning in what could have been his last start for the Texas Rangers, they were down by a run.

Rangers take Series lead

Mike Napoli's two-run double in the eighth inning gave the Rangers a 4-2 win and a 3-2 series lead over the Cardinals.

Wilson does enough to give Texas a chance

It wasn't pretty, but C.J. Wilson helped pull the Rangers within one win of a World Series title.

Washington, Rangers use smarts, strength to win Game 5

Texas is one win away from a title. Scott Miller says Ron Washington's brain and Mike Napoli's brawn -- also far from shabby on defense -- overwhelm the Cardinals, who find themselves in a do-or-die situation.

This just in (again) from North Texas ...

Mike Napoli. (Wow!)

Texas Takes 3-2 Series Lead Over St. Louis

Mike Napoli hit a tiebreaking two-run double in the eighth inning against Marc Rzepczynski, and the Texas Rangers rallied from a two-run deficit to beat the St. Louis Cardinals 4-2 on Monday night and take a 3-2 World Series lead. Solo home runs by Mitch Moreland in the third and Adrian Beltre in the sixth off Chris Carpenter sparked the Texas comeback. Michael Young doubled off...

Erratic bullpens may decide Series champion

ARLINGTON, Texas -- At the conclusion of the first inning on Sunday night, in which Rangers starter Derek Holland retired the Cardinals' side in order, including a strikeout of scorching hot Allen Craig and a groundout from history-making Albert Pujols, Texas reliever Mike Adams turned toward bullpen-mate Scott Feldman and offered a prediction.
