The Rangers have taken a 4-3 lead over the Tigers in the bottom of the second after Texas starter Doug Mathis (starting in place of Vicente Padilla) had a rough top of the second.
Andruw Jones got the Rangers started with a one-out double. After Josh Hamilton's struggles continued with a pop-up for the second out, Jarrod Saltalamacchia walked. Elvis Andrus singled to center to score Jones. Ian Kinsler tripled to score Saltalamacchia and Andrus, and Michael Young singled to score Kinsler and give Texas a 4-3 lead.
Now, we'll see if Mathis has a shut-down inning in him.
