Omar Minaya strengthened that stance when he said he was only looking to sign a low priced corner outfielder on a one year deal. The very next day, the Mets signed outfielder Cory Sullivan.
The message is loud and clear... No Manny!
Somebody in the front office has really goofed up. It seems that Mets manager Jerry Manuel, never got the memo.
While a guest on SNY's Daily News Live, Joe Beningo asked Jerry Manuel about Ramirez.
"I'd love to have the opportunity to watch Manny hit every day. Manny Ramirez just might be one of the greatest hitters in our generation."
When asked about whether Ramirez would be a disruptive force in the clubhouse he responded,
