Alfonso Soriano limped off the field yesterday in the fifth inning after making a (typically) slightly awkward attempt at a ball in center. He is currently listed as day-to-day, but will undergo an MRI today on his strained left hamstring.
With Soriano sidelined for at least a bit, the Cubs turn to exciting and still raw prospect Felix Pie, who is hitting .444 with 16 runs through 11 games for AAA Iowa. In 2006, the 22-year-old hit .283 with 15 HR and 57 RBI; he is said to have developing power, and his 33 doubles at his age in AAA is promising.
