Fox Sports:
More "Happy Flights" are on the way.
The Cardinals are making progress on a deal with free-agent shortstop Rafael Furcal, a move that seemingly enhances the Phillies' chances of re-signing Jimmy Rollins, major-league sources say.
Furcal, 34, joined the Cardinals from the Dodgers last July 31, lifting the club during its World Series run and coining the phrase, "Happy Flight," when the team won on getaway days.
Rollins, 33, has been in talks with the Phillies. He lost one potential suitor when the Brewers signed free-agent shortstop Alex Gonzalez. The Cardinals were thought to be another possibility, but Furcal represents a less expensive option.
