I thought this was a misprint, or an Oxycontin flashback from 2011. Freddy Garcia is pitching against us tonight. Yes, that Freddy Garcia. The Chief. He's still alive. He's still pitching.Listen, I have nothing but respect for The Chief. He pitched well for us - in fact, one of his best outings came in a must game against Baltimore. But two years ago, he was on his last legs. How old can the guy be? A hundred? He's going against C.C. Sabathia. I'm telling you, this is scary. Some of these guys, they're like zombies - they just keep walking and snarling, and until somebody shoots them in the brain, they'll eat your liver. If we lose tonight, it's like losing to Houston. It's like losing to yourself. It's five losses, bottled up into one. It's not Freddy Garcia. It's Freddy Kruger.

Once deemed a rising star, Jurrjens...

Kevin Gausman, MLB Ready?

Rick Peterson looked on from the Bowie Baysox’s dugout as Kevin Gausman stated his case. The Orioles’ prized right hander decimated the Trenton Thunder over six innings, strike outing ten and allowing few well hit balls. Showalter may think twice arguing call

A bit of posturing on the part of Orioles manager Buck Showalter cost his team two bases and a run Sunday, after Showalter argued that a double by Matt Joyce should have been called foul -- and it was instead ruled a home run after review. The play happened with one out in the top of the sixth inning, with the Rays leading 2-1. Joyce, a left-handed batter, hooked a line drive down...

Jim Johnson Struggles Continue, Yanks Top O’s 6-4

After a 2012 season that saw Baltimore Orioles closer Jim Johnson save 51 games, the last three games for the Baltimore “fireman” have been uneventful. Coming into the ninth-inning with a 4-3 lead over the New York Yankees on Monday, Johnson would surrender a solo home run to Travis Hafner, which would tie the game 4-4 and force extra-innings where the Orioles would eventually...

Moore Handles the Orioles; Yankees Next on the Docket...

On Sunday, the Baltimore Orioles lost their fifth in a row, as the Tampa Bay Rays defeated them, 3-1. They have lost their second straight series and fell to 23-20. Have things gotten bad for the Orioles? No. They are pretty resilient and seem to not get too high – or too low; however, at times, they have been beating themselves. The pitching was not horrible for Baltimore...
