St. Louis Cardinals get Jake Westbrook trading Ryan Ludwick

in a three way deal between the St. Louis Cardinals, San Diego Padres and the Cleveland Indians.  Ludwick goes to the Fighting Friars in the deal. While Jake Westbrook is a big inning eating pitcher his stats are not that impressive for what the Redbirds gave up.  After all, the problem this season is not the pitching despite the injuries but the hitting.  Personally I feel the Cardinals gave up to much for Westbrook, weakening an already soft offense.  But, lets see what Westbrook does down the stretch with the Cardinals.  But, I give this deal a thumbs down.
