The Miami Marlins lost their third straight game to the Chicago Cubs on Saturday by a final tally of 3-2.  It wasn’t all bad news for Miami however as Giancarlo Stanton hit his first home run of the season.    The 472 foot blast cleared the scoreboard in left field in what was one of the longest home runs hit so far at Marlins Park.   With the loss, Miami is now 5-19 on the year. Alex Sanabia pitched well but took the loss to fall to 2-3.  The young righty gave up three runs in six and two third innings with that third run coming off the bull pen.   Sanabia struck out four to go along with two walks and six hits.   Mike Dunn who allowed the inherited run to score finished off the seventh.   Ryan Webb and Chad Qualls rounded out the pitching side for Miami with scoreless appearances. In addition to Stanton’s blast which came in the first, Miguel Olivo hit his second home run of the year in the second inning.   The two home runs were two of a total of five hits in the game for Miami.   Once again, the Marlins failed to produce with runners in scoring position going 0-3 in such situations.   A total of five men were left on base for Miami in what turned out to be another one run loss. Miami will try to avoid the sweep on Sunday with Ricky Nolasco scheduled to make the start.
