If you're going to have Alkaline Trio as your at bat music, you may as well do it right. Thursday’s Brewer game was the first I’d attended with Jody Gerut in the starting lineup. As he walked to the plate for his first at bat, I wondered something I’d never before been left wonder while attending a baseball game – “Is that Alkaline Trio?” Indeed, Gerut’s at bat song was that of the Chicago-based band who provided the soundtrack for most of my formative teen years.
