Adam Rubin reports that the Mets attempted to re-sign Cory Sullivan when Carlos Beltran went down. Apparently Sully wanted the team to guarantee that they wouldn't sign another outfielder which they wouldn't do, so he signed with the Astros where he'll more then likely be on the opening day roster.
