When Anthony Swarzak made his first start off the DL a few weeks ago he was pumped up and ready to go, starting off strong and giving batters fits. That was until the game was postponed due to rain, and Swarzak couldn’t finish up the start he was so ready for. Since that game Swarzak has been even more ready to return and make an impact for the Twins, even though they are 17 games out of first and have no chance at making the playoffs. Well on Tuesday Swarzak will finally have a chance to get back on the mound and prove to the Twins that he deserves a spot in the starting rotation.
The Twins will take on the Chicago White Sox looking to pursue the role of spoiler due to the fact that the White Sox are only five games out of first and need to win both of these next two games against the Twins. While fans, and probably players alike, already know that the Twins are done for this season, Twins manager Ron Gardenhire refuses to say that his team will take on the role of spoiler.
