Ted Williams' Jimmy Fund statue has found a new home. According to the Red Sox' official Twitter feed, the Hall of Famer's bronze replica is moving to JetBlue Park, the team's new spring training facility in Lee County, Fla. The statue was originally placed in front of the Gate B entrance of Fenway Park in April 2004, but was moved in June 2010 for the "Teammates" statue, built in honor of former Sox players Johnny Pesky, Dom DiMaggio, Bobby Doerr and Williams. Could Daisuke be slated for an early return?

I mentioned in the dump this morning how people were getting carried away with the idea of Daniel Bard being a starter, because there's no way the Sox would let him start all year. Initial roster won't be Red Sox's final roster

It's always been a misnomer to call the 25-man roster at the end of Spring Training final, a point likely to be exacerbated by the number of position battles the Red Sox will host this spring in Fort Myers, Fla.
