Ruben Tejada delivered the knock-out blow with a bases loaded walk-off single in the ninth inning to give the Mets a 3-2 victory at Citi Field this afternoon over the Marlins. With the win the Mets complete their first sweep at home in over three months.
David Wright went 1-for-4 and got the Mets on the board with his 19th home run of the season: a two-run blast in the first. He is now three hits shy of tying Ed Kranepool’s franchise record of 1,418 hits. Wright has the next four games to try and break the record at Citi Field.
