The Texas Rangers have recalled right-handed starter Josh Lindblom who will take Alexi Ogando‘s spot in the starting rotation. To make room for him, Texas has opted to designate right-handed pitcher Derek Lowe for assignment. He will have to clear waivers and accept an assignment for him to remain in the Rangers system. In other moves, Texas has optioned catcher Robinson Chirinos to their Triple-A Round Rock farm club.
