The Rangers sit in first place thanks to their red hot offense and surprisingly above average pitching. Ranger starters are going further into games allowing the bullpen to stay sharp. Rookie pitcher Derek Holland has looked great coming out of the Texas Ranger bullpen, and short stop Elvis Andrus has been as good as advertised. Josh Hamilton returned to the lineup and homered in his first game back; Hamilton has been sidelined with a rib injury for much of the start of the 2009 season.
