Oft-injured outfielder Milton Bradley likely has played his last game for the A's. The A's have 10 days to either trade Bradley, place him on waivers or release him outright. To replace Bradley on the 25-man roster, Oakland purchased the contract of infielder Kevin Melillo from Triple-A Sacramento. This is big news in Bay Area sports. Bradley was one of the few big bats that the A's had in their lineup, but with his recent trips to the DL it looks like they will be going in a different direction for the second half of the season. There isn't any solid trade talk yet, but I can almost guarantee that they're not going to eat his contract and release him.

  • but who wants an average, DL- prone outfielder with an attitude? Yankees?
  • Haha, I wouldn't be surprised the see NY hop on him either! This guy is just headache central. I'm at least glad that he has somewhat straightened out his act. His attitude ruined him with a few teams. Ol Milton just seems to be washed-up nowadays. The A's still have a fighting chance in their division, which is weak! Make the trade and at least get some prospects outta it
