Look, A’s Organization, we all know what Conor Jackson is and he is not the type of player that is going to help the Oakland A’s win ball games. He had a nice hot streak and we all crossed our fingers but the guy is clearly coming back to earth. So please stop playing him. In his last 30 at bats, Jackson, has a total of 5 hits. I understand that he may be a better choice to start than Barton but that still doesn’t make it right. Bring someone in that is better suited for the first base job. There is no reason at all to play Jackson in the outfield or DH over Ryan Sweeney. One of these guys is hitting for average and the other is not. If I have to tell you which is the one with the hire average, you might be Bob Geren. I could see if Jackson had a bunch of home runs and brought some power to the line-up why you would want him in there but he doesn’t. He has 1 home run in 117 at bats.
