#45 Hank Conger – Los Angeles Angels
C
DOB: 1-29-88
ETA: 2011
Conger, the Angels’ incumbent catcher, hit .300/.385/.463 in the PCL last season and walked at nearly a 1 BB/K clip. His judgment of the strike-zone already is regarded as the finest in the organization, and there are no real concerns about his ability to stay behind the plate in the Majors. The switch-hitter went deep 11 times last season, but his 26 doubles suggest that the 22-year old may have some more thump lurking in his 6’1”/220 lb. frame. The former first-rounder and Futures Game MVP has a very high baseball IQ and should stick around the league for a long time.
