If I were running the Texas Rangers, the last thing I would consider doing is to rush Colby Lewis back to have him in the fifth spot in the rotation. The team needs to stay patient and they need to make sure the Elbow is healed and rehabilitated properly. The guy is just getting ready to throw long toss and people are already saying he may be back just after the season opener. Lets give the guy some time and see how he does. 7 months of not throwing the baseball is a long time for a pitcher. The guys muscles are going to need conditioned back to game time condition. Lewis just needs the proper amount of time to get his arm ready. It is time that the Rangers realize just how long the season is and that they are going to need all the help they can get near the end. Baseball is not a sprint, it is more like a marathon. With all the changes that took place with the Rangers roster this season, the team needs to let Lewis focus on coming back 100% healthy. I just don;t know if coming back is the right thing to do so early after the elbow surgery. Give it the proper amount of time and it will pay off in the long run….

SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) -- Lance Berkman is set to make his spring training debut for the Texas Rangers on Thursday.

While being held out...
SURPRISE, Ariz. The Texas Rangers may be winless in Cactus League play, but Tuesday was still a successful day. Yu Darvish picked up where he left off last season in dominating Chicago White Sox hitters in two quick innings of work.
He retired all six hitters he faced, and none of them made solid contact. The fidgety Darvish who showed up last spring in Arizona was nowhere to...
Texas Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus was scratched from spring training action on Thursday because of an injury. As we know, injuries that occur during spring training often have hilarious stories attached to them. Most of them seem to typically involve pitchers, but Andrus has made an exception.
Elvis apparently decided to get some new ink on his left arm recently. What does that...
If only we were kidding. The Texas Rangers had to watch as Elvis Andrus missed a game against the Cleveland Indians because his arm hurt too much from the giant Tattoo his just got. You ever wonder how some of theses guys manage to make it onto a major league ball club?I mean come on these guys get paid a lot of money to show up and play baseball, something every kid thinks about...

SURPRISE, Ariz. Once he took Michael Young's job four years ago, Elvis Andrus was smart enough to become his pal. He hung on Young's every word, and he's still trying to get used to him being with another team.
"It's still weird," Andrus told FOXSportsSouthwest.com on Monday. "He was Ranger Man. That's what we called him. I guess it's part...
