Minnesota Twins shortstop Brian Dozier showed us why you're supposed to run hard to first on any ball you hit. As you can see in the video above, Dozier literally hit a curveball during his 5th inning at-bat against the Royals on Saturday. His ball started off foul, but then went fair because it was hit with so much spin. Teammate Ryan Doumit was even able to score from second on the single.
After getting such a good break on that play, it's no surprise the Twins ended up winning 7-2.
