Three Mets declare free agency....

Minor leaguers who are not on the 40 man roster or still under control ( first six years) are eligible to declare free agency earlier then those who on the roster. Yahoo Sports reports on the Mets transaction page that three players who spent time with the major league club have filed for free agency..... Raul Casnova was the third string catcher early in the season while Robinson Cancel was recovering from a knee injury. In 20 games ( 55 AB) he hit .273 with 1 HR, 2 doubles and 6 RBIs. Brady Clark actually beat out Fernando Tatis for the last roster spot as a fifth outfielder and back-up 1B. Clark's season was ended in AAA after he was convinced not to retire and then substained a knee injury. In his second stint with the team he was barley used during the time in which Pagan and Church were killing the ball. In seven games ( 8 AB) he hit .250 with one RBI. Chris Augila was a mid-season call-up to fill-in when Church, Pagan, Alou were all down and they hadn't decided to dip...
