Last summer, Miguel Cabrera's attorney said that if Cabrera had a DUI conviction, it could prevent him from traveling to Canada for games in Toronto unless he had express permission from Canadian officials. According to the U.S. government website for customs and border protection, "As a general rule, Canada does not allow persons with DUIs to enter their country."
