The Tigers announced Tuesday that they have exercised the contract options on shortstop Jhonny Peralta and right handed relief pitcher Octavio Dotel. In 57 games for the Tigers this season Dotel was 5-3 with a 3.57 ERA. He also limited opponents to a .230 batting average and didn’t allow a run in five innings of work during the playoffs. Meanwhile Peralta who saw his number sdrop off from 2011 batted .239 with 32 doubles, three triples, 13 home runs and 63 RBIs in 150 games this past season. And despite his limited range Peralta finished second among American League shortstops with a .988 fielding percentage. During 13 playoff games Peralta hit .260 with a double, three home runs and five RBIs. In addition to Peralta and Dotel, the Tigers also reinstated infielder/outfielder Ryan Raburn from the 15-day disabled list as well as reliever Daniel Schlereth and designated hitter Victor Martinez from the 60-day disabled list. All three players are under contract for the 2013 season. h/t: Detroit
