Detroit Tigers outfielder Magglio Ordonez, who broke his ankle early in the American League Championship Series, unexpectedly did not travel with the team to Texas this weekend. Although ordonez was not going to play, he was expected to make the trip to Texas for Game 6 and possibly Game 7. The Tigers were eliminated with Saturday's 15-5 loss in Game 6. Ordonez was not with the team. When asked about it, manager Jim Leyland told the Detroit News, "I don't know where he is. He didn't come on the plane." Ordonez played in Game 1 of the ALCS but was lifted for a pinch-runner and replaced on the roster by Delmon Young when it was discovered he fractured the ankle he had surgically repaired in 2010. Ordonez, 37, batted .255 with five homers and 32 RBI in 92 games this season and was 5-for-13 in the postseason.
