Detroit Tigers outfielder Magglio Ordonez broke his right ankle and will miss the remainder of the postseason. Ordonez had talked about retirement while playing his 15th season this year, and he could not overcome ongoing issues with his surgically repaired ankle. The 37-year-old Ordonez batting .309 with 294 career homers and 1,236 RBIs with the Chicago White Sox and Tigers. Sunday's Game 2 of the American League Championship Series was postponed because of rain. It has been rescheduled for Monday.
