Magglio Ordonez will miss the rest of the postseason because of an ankle injury, the second Detroit Tigers outfielder out of the AL championship series.
Manager Jim Leyland says Ordonez is having problems with the right ankle that he broke last season, an injury that caused him to miss more than a month this summer. Leyland said Sunday that Ordonez will be replaced on the ALCS roster.
Ordonez came out of Saturday's opener after the second of two rain delays in the top of the fifth inning. Ordonez drew a walk during a short resumption of play between the delays and was replaced by a pinch-runner when the game resumed for good.
Delmon Young was taken off the roster Saturday because of an oblique injury.
Game 2 was postponed to Monday because of rain.

Delmon Young has been added to Detroit's roster for the rest of the AL championship series to replace another injured starting outfielder, Magglio Ordonez.
Young was initially left off the ALCS roster because of a strained left oblique he aggravated in the AL division series clincher at New York. The Tigers weren't certain when he would be able to play again.
Jason Beck has reported via twitter that Delmon Young has been reinstated on the Tigers roster replacing the injured Magglio Ordonez. I don't know what to make of this move. I suppose this is encouraging news, but it's hard to imagine Young is ready to play this soon after being removed from the roster two days ago.
