The Detroit Tigers recalled third baseman Brandon Inge from Triple-A Toledo after Friday's victory over the American League Central rival Cleveland Indians.
Inge has fared well during his month-long stint with the Mud Hens. He has hit .287 with seven homers during that stretch.
Prior to his demotion, the 11-year veteran struggled mightily, batting .177 with one homer in 70 games.
In a corresponding move, the Tigers also sent rookie Andy Dirks back to Toledo.
