Given the historical significance of his accomplishment given he was the first major leaguer to accomplish the feat since Carl Yastrzemski won it in 1967, Major League Baseball presented Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera with an actual crown when he was awarded the Triple Crown last October. The crown was then described as follows in a press release (via Eye on Baseball):
The crown consists of three raised prongs that highlight his league-leading statistics, each engraved on a diamond. The prongs meet at the top of the crown brought together by a baseball over Tigers navy blue velvet. The front of the crown features a Tigers old English “D” and engraving that says, “2012 American League Triple Crown presented by Major League Baseball to Miguel Cabrera, Detroit Tigers.” The front also features the MLB silhouetted batter and Commissioner Selig’s signature.
