After sweeping the Twins last weekend, the Toronto Blue Jays were swept themselves in the next three game series against the Los Angeles Angels The Jays were hammered in the first game 12-6.  Starting pitcher, Mark Buehrle had a rough outing on the mound.  Buehrle gave up 12 hits, eight earned runs, a walk, and struck out two batters in four innings pitched.  ”He (Buehrle) was just off tonight,” said Jay’s manager, John Gibbons, casually in the post game press conference. There was a positive note to this game.  Anthony Gose  went two for four at the plate and collected four RBIs. The second game was closer. The Jays lost 5-4.  R.A. Dickey gave up seven hits, four earned runs, two walks and struck out two batters in five innings pitched. Moises Sierra Moises Sierra went three for four at the plate and scored two runs. The Angels completed the sweep by defeating Toronto in the rubber match 4-3. Jay’s starting pitcher, J.A. Happ gave up six hits, three earned runs, two walks, and struck out six batters.  He (Happ) kept us in the game,” said Gibbons. Moises Sierra went three for four at the plate for the second game in a row.  ”He’s (Sierra) a talented guy,” said Gibbons. I’ll be honest.  I’m sure glad the regular season is almost over.  I’m getting tired of seeing the Jays lose all the time. The Jays faced the Baltimore Orioles this past weekend and lost two out of three games. The first game was a 5-3 loss for the Jays.  Adam Lind went two for four at the plate and collected two RBIs. Starting pitcher, Todd Redmond gave up three hits, an earned run, no walks and struck out seven batters in 6.1 innings pitched. The Jays won the second game 4-3. Moises Sierra and Colby Rasmus got two RBIs during the game.   Jay’s pitcher, Esmil Rogers had, probably, his best start on the mound this season. Rogers gave up five hits, three earned runs, two walks, and struck out seven batters in six innings pitched. The third game was another loss for the Jays.  A 3-1 loss. Mark Buehrle gave up six hits, two earned runs. three walks and struck out four batters in five innings pitched. The Blue Jays kick off a three game series against the New York Yankees tonight.
