Oh man. Did you guys just SEE that?  I am so in love with Adam Wainwright right now that I can’t even stand it.   I’ve decided that when we get married (BECAUSE THAT WILL HAPPEN), Yadier Molina is going to be my maid of honor.   And I think Pete Kozma and Matt Carpenter will probably be bridesmaids. It’s all up in the air right now and I’ll have to talk to Adam about it (because we talk about EVERYTHING and are so in love), but I'm sure the pieces will all fall together.   Right now it’s kind of touch and go, but it’s obviously very difficult to plan a wedding when he’s out there being so awesome at throwing baseballs. We simply don’t have time for ALL OF THESE DETAILS.   I’m sure that when the day rolls around it will just be perfect and wonderful, because he means so much to me and our love is forever. If Hunter Pence (haha, THAT GUY!) can’t stop us, than no one can.   Put it on your calendars, you guys. You’re all inv

Adam Wainwright breaks out dance moves in dugout during NLCS Game 5 (Video)

St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright kept loose in the dugout before Friday night's NLCS Game 5 by breaking out some dance moves. Wainwright was in a good mood after pitching seven strong innings in Thursday night's Game 4 to help the Cardinals get a win. Unfortunately, Wainwright was in no position to help the Cardinals on Friday, as they lost Game 5 to the...

Wainwright confident heading into Game 4

ST. LOUIS Adam Wainwright couldnt have been more focused and excited to start the winner-take-all Game 5 of the NLDS in Washington last week. Then he went out and pitched a dud, allowing six runs in 2 13 innings to put his team in a huge hole. For a while, it looked like that would be the last start the right-hander would make in 2011. It was a taste he surely wasnt wanting to...

Wainwright takes advantage of second chance

ST. LOUIS Adam Wainwright didn't expect to be pitching Thursday night. By this point he figured to be back home in Georgia, ready to start his offseason much earlier than he had hoped. Wainwright was at home Thursday. He was at home on the Busch Stadium mound, doing what he does best. Thanks to a historic comeback to bail him out after a disastrous Game 5 start against the...

Video: Adam Wainwright shows off dance moves in dugout

Your browser does not support iframes. The St. Louis Cardinals had plenty to feel good about heading into Friday night's game against the San Francisco Giants, especially pitcher Adam Wainwright. After all, the right-hander helped St. Louis take a 3-1 lead in the NLCS after pitching a gem (7 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 5 K) in Thursday's 8-3 Cardinals victory. It appears as though those...

Video: Adam Wainwright busts a move in the dugout

The St. Louis Cardinals are known as a good bunch of guys that have great team chemistry and like to have a lot of fun. How can you blame them when they are one game away from returning to the World Series, just one year removed from winning it in 2011? Some of that fun-loving camaraderie was on display during Friday night's Game Five loss against the San Francisco Giants...

Adam Wainwright used cutter more to beat the Giants

St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright needed to have a huge outing in the Cardinals Game Four victory over the San Francisco Giants. The ace of the Cardinals staff was beat up in his previous outing against the Washington Nationals and many were questioning whether the amount of innings Wainwright has thrown one year after Tommy John surgery were starting to affect...

Wainwright mesmerizes Giants as Cardinals take 3-1 NLCS lead

ST. LOUIS -- Adam Wainwright had six days to sit around and think about one of the worst starts of his career in one of the biggest games he had ever pitched. In the fifth and deciding game of the NL Division Series against the Washington Nationals, Wainwright put his team in a major hole, but his St. Louis Cardinals completed a historic comeback from that 6-0 deficit. Wainwright...

Offense, Wainwright boost Cardinals

Adam Wainwright threw seven innings of four-hit ball and the St. Louis Cardinals roughed up Tim Lincecum and the San Francisco Giants in an 8-3 rout Thursday night that gave them a 3-1 lead in the NL championship series. Matt Holliday, Jon Jay and Yadier Molina had two RBI apiece to lead a 12-hit outburst by a team that batted just .198 through the first three games of the series...

Wainwright went to the mound Thursday night for the first NL Championship Series...

Video: Mike Matheny feels Yadier Molina should be NL MVP

The St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants are both blessed to possess two high quality, dual threat catchers behind the plate to not only lead their pitching staffs, but their offenses too. Giants catcher Buster Posey will likely take home the National League MVP award this season, no matter the outcome of the National League Championship Series.   Just one year removed...

Davey Johnson probably doesn't give a rat's ass that Randy Knorr would've walked Kozma

So Randy Knorr, Davey Johnson's bench coach, admitted during a radio interview in Canada (590 The Fan in Toronto) that his only regret about NLDS Game 5 was that Pete Kozma got to hit in the 9th with Jason Motte on deck. Via Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post: "The only thing I kick myself about was, we had a chance to walk Kozma to get Cruz up to hit to get Motte...

NLCS Game 4: Dazed & Confused

Giants? Hardly.  Game 4? Hardly.   It was a night to be savored. One of the rare post season wins where the outcome is long been determined before the final out has been recorded. Where the normal high pressure at bats morph back into the lazy metronomic beats of the summer that has just passed us by.    The Cardinals dispatched the Giants 8-3 in would...

Hunter Pence deflects pop-up off his throwing hand into his glove for the great catch

San Francisco Giants right fielder Hunter Pence races in and makes a great sliding grab on Pete Kozma's pop up in the fifth inning of yesterday's 5-0 SF win over the Cardinals. At first glance it is... Full story at Bob's Blitz ~ http://www.bobsblitz.com
