On Sunday, December 21, 2008 at 4:00 PM, all are welcome to join Omar Minaya, General Manager of the New York Mets, as he brings holiday cheer to the children of Harlem and Washington Heights by leading a New York holiday tradition - the 97th annual reading of Clement Clarke Moore's 'Twas the Night Before Christmas' at historic Church of the Intercession (West 155th Street and Broadway). Clement Clark Moore (1779-1863) was the son of Dr. Benjamin Moore, the sixth rector of Trinity Parish. In 1822, as a Christmas present for his six children, Moore wrote the poem that became a classic for all to cherish.
