Twins Chisox 1 Game Playoff Shoulda Been In Minnesota

Ok, the Chicago White Sox are in for the playoffs, and they earned it last night. But I truly believe the game should have been played in Minnesota. Unlike football that uses a tie breaker set of rules for obvious reasons, baseball flips a coin to decide where the one game playoff gets held. That is ridiculous! While football needs the tie breaker rules since the game is so physical and that works fine for that sport, baseball needs to adopt a tie breaker to decide the venue. The Twins won 10 of 18 games between the two teams, and head to head competition should have decided where the game was held. Sure, that is no guarantee that Minnesota would have won, but they are built for their ballpark. A slash and run team that pounds the ball into that rock hard astro turf and runs the bases well. I wonder how others feel about this and if enough people call, write or e mail the commissioners office perhaps they will adopt a similar set of tie breaker rules for future seasons. But that said, here are my predictions for who will win in this years playoff matchups. The Brewers will beat the Phillies, too much starting pitching, but kudos to the Phillies for taking the east from the cowardly NY Minayas. The Dodgers will break the Cubs fans hearts, bad karma for ruining a mans life over a foul ball will keep the Cubs from their elusive World Series victory. The Rays will take the White Sox, everyone said they would fold and they just kept winning. The Angels will take out the Red Sox, maybe the most balanced team in the post season. The Angels will then finally end the Cinderella ride of the Rays, but they have nothing to be ashamed of. The Dodgers will beat the Brewers. And in an all west coast World Series the Angels will beat the Dodgers. Let the games begin, thank God for October!!
