MINNEAPOLIS Vance Worley is still looking for that elusive first win in a Twins uniform.
The right-hander labored through five innings Thursday against the Texas Rangers and exited with his team down 2-0. Minnesota couldn't rally against Texas rookie Nick Tepesch, however, and Worley was hit with his third loss of the season as the Twins fell 2-1.
Worley now 0-3 with a 6.38 ERA in his first five starts as a Twin, but his last two outings have been signs of progress. Last time out prior to Thursday, Worley allowed just one run in seven innings in a 2-1 win over the Chicago White Sox. Worley earned a no-decision in that game but struck out a season-high seven batters while walking just two.
Thursday's outing wasn't quite as impressive for Worley, but his team still had a chance when he left after five innings. Worley struck out three Rangers batters and allowed six hits. The first run came in the second inning when Nelson Cruz singled home Adrian Beltre. In that inning, W...

Yes, Eduardo Escobar is comfortable playing nearly any position for the Minnesota Twins and even has enough versatility to show off his musical talents in the clubhouse. The 24-year-old Escobar is in his first full season with the Twins after being traded by the White Sox last year. In 12 games with Minnesota this year...
MINNEAPOLIS Aaron Hicks' batting average is still under the .100 mark, but the Twins rookie outfielder has gotten better at-bats over the last week.
The 23-year-old Hicks had drawn 11 walks prior to Friday's game against the Texas Rangers. That number leads all major league rookies. He's walked in six of his last seven games and has reached base in seven straight games...
MINNEAPOLIS The early-season chills in the air have resulted in several Minnesota Twins games being postponed. The cold air has also been the possible culprit of another trend: a lack of home runs.
Through Tuesday's doubleheader against Miami, the Twins have hit just nine home runs this season, the second-fewest in baseball aside from the Marlins' six homers. By comparison...
The Texas Rangers have used dominant back-to-back outings from rookie starters to take the first two of a four-game set from the Minnesota Twins, who have seen their top sluggers neutralized.
Both teams send left-handers to the mound Saturday at Target Field as Texas aims for its eighth win in nine tries while Minnesota tries to snap a three-game skid.
After a 2-1 win in the opener...
