The Minnesota Twins' roster will look a bit different on Monday.
The team announced Saturday that designated hitterfirst baseman Justin Morneau will be placed on the 15-day disabled list with a sore left wrist. The Twins will also call up infielder Brian Dozier and pitcher Scott Diamond from Triple-A Rochester prior to Monday's game at Target Field against the Los Angeles Angels.
A sore left wrist caused Morneau to leave Monday's game against the Angels after just two at-bats. He then flew back Tuesday to Minneapolis to see Dr. Thomas Varecka, a hand and wrist specialist. But the MRI didn't show any structural damage, and Morneau rejoined the team Wednesday in Anaheim.
However, after taking some swings in the batting cage Saturday in Seattle, Morneau's wrist didn't feel better, according to reports.
