Chicago White Sox
The Chicago White Sox's Chris Sale took another hard-luck loss last week despite delivering one of his most dominant performances.
He hasn't needed much run support against the Minnesota Twins.
Looking to snap a career-worst three-start losing streak, Sale tries to win a fourth consecutive outing versus Minnesota on Wednesday night.
While Sale (5-5, 2.43 ERA) ranks among the AL leaders in ERA and opponent batting average (.189), his run-support average of 2.74 is the lowest in the league. He's been backed by a combined four runs in three starts this month, losing each despite a 2.11 ERA.
Sale had everything working Friday but saw his poor luck continue in a 2-1 defeat at Houston. The left-hander struck out a season-high 14 in a complete game, allowing two unearned runs and five hits.
"You don't want to hang your head," he said. "Obviously, it's disappointing, but at the end of the day, these guys are grinding it out and not giving anybody anything....
BEST OF MAXIM
Even as the Chicago White Sox's offense struggled, consistent efforts from the starting rotation seemed to keep the team afloat.
Now that's gone, too, and Chicago continues to tumble.
The Minnesota Twins look to again take advantage of the woeful White Sox and deal John Danks another rough outing Thursday at Target Field.
Chicago's starters were solid during the team...

Shaky starting pitching, sporadic offense and shoddy defense have dropped the Chicago White Sox in a place they haven't been in more than five years.
John Danks gave up a career-high four home runs and six earned runs in five innings and the White Sox were beaten 8-4 by the Minnesota Twins on Thursday.
''You can't just point out one thing that's gone wrong at...

Let the below video be a lesson to all you fans who think that catching a foul ball is a pretty harmless task.
During Monday's Astros/White Sox game, one fan attempted to make a diving catch of an Alexei Ramirez foul ball that was heading towards the seats near left field.
After not coming up with the ball, the fan tries to get up but can't and provides us with the...
Early Morning Kids,
Got a couple of hours sleep before this early start. John Danks is on the mound for the Sox today. He had a good last outing and fingers crossed he can have another one.

The White Sox traveled to Minnesota on Tuesday, and continued on what appears to be yet another abysmal road trip for the southsiders. They have now dropped 13 of their last 15 road contests, and five of their last six. Once again, falling back to ten games below .500.

The last thing the Chicago White Sox need right now is a matchup with Kansas City Royals starter Jeremy Guthrie.
The right-hander has completely shut down Chicago since being acquired by the Royals last summer, and he'll look to add to the visiting White Sox's woes in the opener of a three-game series Friday night.
Guthrie came to Kansas City in a deal for left-hander Jonathan...
