This Saturday night at the Gran Arena in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, undefeated Super Bantamweight prospect Juan “Baby Tito” Dominguez will compete for his professional title when he takes on Geyci Lorenzo for the WBA Fedecentro championship.
The scheduled nine round bout will be part of a big night of boxing in the Dominican Republic.
Dominguez, who will be fighting in his birth city, has been one of the fast rising prospects in his home of Brooklyn, New York. The twenty-seven year old has a record of 12-0 with eight knockouts and will be making his fourth appearance in the Dominican Republic.
“A lot of doors will open up when I win this title,” said Dominguez.
“This will put me in a good position in the world rankings. There are a lot of good fighters in the top 15 but I will be ready for any of them”, continued Dominguez, who amassed a 80-6 amateur record while being a two-time national champion in the Dominican Republic.
It will be a homecoming for Dominguez...
