I only recently started blogging about the Cardinals, but one of the immediate benefits of doing so was being able to join the United Cardinals Bloggers.  For those of you who are not familiar with the UCB, it is an "organization of quality, active bloggers who interact regularly and respectfully as they report and opine about the St. Louis Cardinals." At the end of each year, the UCB puts together the United Cardinals Bloggers Annual, a collection of the best stories and analysis from the Cardinals blogoverse that recaps the season as well as looking forward to the next season. This year's UCB Annual includes a forward from Will Leitch, founder of Deadspin, and features the work of 18 Cardinals bloggers, capsules of every player with projected role for 2013 and an overall look ahead to the 2013 season.  It is a must have for all Cardinals fans. In addition, for the first time, the UCB Annual is available on Amazon.com.  You can purchase your copy at the following ...

Ballpark Village represents a signature opportunity

For all that baseball is in St. Louis, in some ways it also isn’t. Busch Stadium is a remarkable building in the midst of mostly drab downtown scenery, but by and large that’s it when it comes to the St. Louis Cardinals visual imprint on the city. Made worse by that is the fact that much maligned, graveyard of where the majority of the current stadium’s predecessor stood takes...
