TEAMS: Chicago Cubs
Being a Cubs fan can be tough, but imagine being a Cubs mascot.  It ain’t easy, folks.  It’s hot and it’s awkward.  And often times you want to punch people in the face. This unofficial Cubbies mascot did just that at John Barleycorn bar when some guy picked a fight with the wrong bear.  I’m sure partially due to jealousy and partially due to his curiosity about Furries (look it up).  According to onlookers the antagonizer …tried to trip the mascot three times and then threw himself into the mascot in an attempt to start a fight.  The mascot ignored all of this until he got his head pulled off.  After the guy was punched in the face, and his friend was thrown to the ground, the guy knocked the mascot’s tip jar out of his hands. Chicago Cubs: The unthinkable option would be the wrong one

The Wrigley Field rooftop owners want the view, the Chicago Cubs want the renovations. The Cubs have had discussions with the city about adding a 650-square-foot Wrigley Field sign  that could potentially block the view from the rooftops. As a kid, there was that word your parents told you not to say. And if you said it, you’d have to put a quarter in the jar. Well, the organization...

Chicago Cubs: Team needs more than just Bonifacio to step up

Emilio Bonifacio is the change-of-pace player the Chicago Cubs need in their organization. He set a modern-day Major League Baseball record with nine hits in the team’s first two games of the season and after a 3-for-5 night in a 7-6 loss to the Pirates Tuesday night at Wrigley Field, Bonifacio has a .515 batting average. That’s impressive for a player who was designated for...

Word to the wise – don’t mess with unofficial Chicago Cubs mascot “Billy Cub.” You see, he’s “unofficial” which means he doesn’t have to be on his best behavior for the sake of his job. Watch as this idiot fan removes the head of his costume at a Wrigleyville bar, and gets what he deserves…

Renteria backs Veras as Cubs closer and gets first ejection

Jose Veras is already raising the stress levels for Cubs fans and forcing his manager to answers questions about the closer’s job. “I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it,” Renteria said. “But right now, I think it would be really premature for me to make a decision or say that I would change something. I got to see what’s going to happen first.” Renteria didn...

2014 Fantasy Baseball: Third Tier National League Starting Pitchers

Edwin JacksonSource: Patrick McDermott/Getty Images North America The last group of starters in the National League is the kind you only use in National League only leagues. After all, when we do the math on the first two tiers, we find more than 40 guys in the first two tiers. That includes pitchers with more than 100 innings in 2013. When we include injured guys and newcomers then...
