One of the most intriguing things in sports is watching siblings play. It’s always great to see them play against each other (Eli vs. Peyton), but this offseason the Upton brothers actually have a chance of playing on the same team.  Wouldn’t it be great to watch them together, side by side? I think their productivity could rise to a new horizon. B.J. and Justin both need a new setting. B.J. Upton is coming off a decent year. He averaged a miniscule batting average, lobbying a .248 avg. But, he did hit 28 homeruns and stole 31 bases. Justin Upton finished with a disappointing year: His stat sheet didn’t  excite anyone. He posted a .280 average, 17 homeruns, and 60 RBIs. But in 2011, he had a promising year that was MVP caliber (.289, 31 homeruns, and 21 stolen bases). The Red Sox are coming off of a historically bad season in which they lost 93 games. They are in dire need of two outfielders. They could sign B.J.  for a long-term deal somewhere around 4 years $28 Million. They could also swap Justin Upton for Jacoby Ellsbury. This would be intriguing for both the Red Sox and Diamondbacks. Jacoby Ellsbury would have won the American League MVP award in 2011 if it weren’t for the almost GOD-like performance by Justin Verlander (winning both the Cy-young and MVP award. First since Roger Clemens).  He is also coming off a disappointing season in which he separated his shoulder in the first 10 games of the season. Both Jacoby Ellsbury and Justin Upton have a high ceiling. What do you think will happen if B.J. and Justin both end up on the Red Sox, manning the outfield? Their productivity will most definitely increase.  I myself have an older brother. We are always competitive with everything. When it comes to sports, video games, and even women we will always try to out perform the other. Every game, at-bat, diving catch, will be a competition between the Upton brothers.  Also, having your sibling on the team will be a comfort zone when the other one is in a slump. You can see that the Upton brothers have a lot of emotions. They both end up in slumps or hot-streaks. If they can control their anger and emotions it could be very fun to watch. The both of them are two of the most exciting players to watch. This project can either turn into an Oscar winning performance or a huge flop in the box office. If I were the General Manager, I would take the chance and produce the movie. If they both end up on the Red Sox, my prediction for each player will be:                AVG.                HR          RBI             SB Justin Upton:   .305                  33           88                18 B.J. Upton:        .274                   22            80                35
