On Friday night the San Francisco Giants will hold Meteallica Night. Prior to the event starting pitcher Barry Zito, a musician himself, met the band and got the chance to perform with them. The session started off with Zito accompanying the band on “Fade to the Black,” from their second LP Ride the Lightning. Ironically it will be Zito on the mound tomorrow night. This year the left hander is 3-1 with a 3.29 ERA. His opposite for the game will be Dodgers ace and 2011 Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw.

Finally, Matt Cain Sucks

Cain Ain’t Able Photo Credit: StormXor   For years Matt Cain has defied logic. Despite being a flyball pitcher with a mediocre batted ball profile and mediocre swing-and-miss ability, Cain has been one of the most reliable aces in fantasy baseball for a few years now. I don’t think I’ve ever owned him in a league, mostly because the price was too high considering...

Giants Blast to Victory on Sandoval’s Ninth Inning Heroics

These are your World Champion San Francisco Giants. After a month of the bizarro Giants, perhaps the final day of the month was just what the team needed, a return to normalcy. The Giants found a way to win on the back of strong pitching and just enough hitting. Madison Bumgarner was fantastic, but failed to get any support on the offensive side of the ball. Trailing one to nothing...

Giants Post Winning April Despite Inconsistent Play

Winning Ugly is back in San Francisco. The Giants, the champs of 2012 and the favorites to repeat as the winners of the National League West this season, have had an extremely bumpy first few weeks of the still-young season. The hitting has been spotty, the starting pitching has generally not lived up to expectations, and the bullpen has had some hiccups. Even though the Giants are...
