Another day, another Brian Wilson video.
Man, this guy is everywhere.
In case the NBA 2K Sports commercial released this week didn’t tickle your funny bone enough, the San Francisco Giants closer is at it again in a brand new Taco Bell commercial, set to make its national debut during tonight’s ALDS Game 5 between New York and Detroit.
Last year, Taco Bell featured Yankees closer Mariano Rivera and manager Joe Girardi in a spot that showed Girardi calling on Rivera to help a Taco Bell patron finish his Chalupa.
Now, it’s Wilson taking center stage in a commercial the fast food chain is calling “Closer 2.0.” I think it’s pretty obvious the marketing guys at Taco Bell thought the Giants would be shoo-ins for the playoffs when they first began filming the spot (oops!).
Wilson calls his “inner deliciousness” (using his 1980s-circa cell phone, naturally) to go all Black Ops on the chalupa. And, like that, it never happened.
Below are two clips for you. The 30-second commercial itself, followed by a “making of” clip. Both are worthy of a watch.
