Bush League Chronicle:
Chicago White Sox ace Chris Sale was not in a good mood after Friday's start versus the Texas Rangers. The southpaw suffered arguably his worst outing of the year en route to giving up eight runs in an 11-5 loss.Sale also surrendered four home runs in his seven innings of work.Naturally, Sale was quite angry with himself afterward, and decided to take out some of his frustrations on an innocent ice chest in the dugout. “When you don’t do your best and, quite honestly, get your rear end kicked around for seven innings, you’re going to get frustrated,” Sale said afterwards. That poor ice chest never had a chance.Via For the Win

OVER BEFORE IT STARTED
Tweet The Chicago White Sox and Texas Rangers met for the final game of weekend series on Sunday, but what took place before the game is what many people were talking about afterward. White Sox bench coach Mark Parent came out to hand in manager Robin Ventura’s lineup card prior to first pitch and […]
The White Sox continued a series winning streak on Sunday.
Who knew passing out the lineup card in the beginning of a game could be so interesting. Chicago White Sox bench coach Mark Parent was ejected during the ritualistic exchange of the lineup cards between the two teams and the four umpires on Sunday. Apparently, Parent had a problem with some of the calls from the previous...
Home plate umpire Jerry Layne didn’t waste any time getting down to business on Sunday afternoon, throwing out a Chicago White Sox bench coach during the lineup card exchange.
Mark Parent was tossed from the game — before the game even started — after trading a few words with the crew chief. Parent was not in the clubhouse after the game to explain what led to the dismissal...
Love him or hate him, Chicago White Sox broadcaster Hawk Harrelson is a national treasure and worthy of respect at the bare minimum. For those who disagree, the above funkified and fantastic photo of Hawk (full photo here) from his playing days should learn ya a thing or two about the guy. Sure, the abject confusion […]The post Hawk Harrelson didn’t know what the hell was going...
CHICAGO (AP) -- Ian Kinsler raced around the bases for a bizarre inside-the-park homer and Adam Rosales had a conventional two-run shot, helping the Texas Rangers beat the Chicago White Sox 11-5 on Friday night.
The AL West-leading Rangers (75-53) had five homers in all while winning for the 19th time in 23 games to move a season-high 22 games over .500. Jeff Baker and pinch hitter...
It's a lesson every kid learns day one in Little League — the play isn't over until the umpire makes a call. Chicago White Sox leftfielder Dayan Viciedo finally learned that lesson to his dismay. A ground ball down the left-field line eluded Vicedo and got lost behind the wall allowing Ian Kinsler to round the bases for a bizarre inside-the-park homer. While logic...
Josh Phegley got the Gatorade bath. The happy beating from his teammates. And a special something Gordon Beckham had learned from A.J. Pierzynski.
Which was fitting because the former Sox catcher was behind the plate when Sox rookie catcher Phegley delivered the first game-ending hit of his career.
Phegley’s two-out single in the ninth Saturday night scored Avisail Garcia to...
The White Sox earned their first three-game sweep at Kauffman Stadium since their championship season in 2005 beating Kansas City 4-3 in 12 innings on Conor Gillaspie’s solo home run.
The ball bounced up over the wall and looked like it may have been ruled a double but no one disputed it as Gillaspie rounded the bases.
“I don’t know exactly what happened on that but at least...

CHICAGO (AP) -- Rookie Josh Phegley singled home the winning run with two outs in the ninth inning to lift the Chicago White Sox to a 3-2 victory over the Texas Rangers on Saturday night.
Texas had its four-game winning streak snapped and wasted another strong outing by Yu Darvish, who gave up two runs in seven innings while striking out 11.
