Bush League Chronicle:
Your browser does not support iframes.Yankees outfielder Curtis Granderson normally provides the action on the field rather than describing it.But on Wednesday, the All-Star tried his hand at handling the play-by-play duties during the fourth inning of the Yankees' game against the Phillies.Granderson starts out strong by giving the listeners an eloquent description of the playing conditions and a nice analysis of what New York needs to get out of trouble. However, his biased view on the game is quickly exposed as the Yankees fail to turn a double play due to a close call at first. You can't be rooting for sides as an announcer, Granderson!Unfortunately, he won't be back in the Yankees lineup anytime soon. Granderson is expected to be out until early-May after suffering a fractured right arm due to being hit by a pitch in February.

This year, I plan on witnessing my own little slice of history during the season. I don’t know exactly when it will occur and to be honest, I can’t guarantee it will occur, but I’m going to try my hardest to see it. This season, I plan on going to Yankee Stadium and watching Mariano Rivera nail down a save for the New York Yankees.
Sure, I’ve seen it before. Most of us probably...

Sun, warm weather, and baseball. Every year in Florida and Arizona, MLB teams open up Spring Training camps in minor league stadiums and practice facilities. It brings the big leagues to communities that would otherwise never really see MLB action. The players are separated from the fans by a simple chain link fence, like a set of neighbors in the backyard. I have been lucky enough...
