After acquiring Craig Breslow as part of the Trevor Cahill trade, the Diamondbacks added another arm for their bullpen on Monday. Arizona signed veteran right-hander Takashi Saito to a one-year deal, according to Jon Heyman. Terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed.

The Diamondbacks re-signed veteran Cody Ransom to a minor league deal, writes Tom Singer of MLB.com. In 101 games with Triple-A Reno last season, Ransom hit .317/.405/.629 with 27 homers. The 35-year-old also had 33 at-bats with the D'Backs as a September call-up.
The re-shaping of the Oakland A's began on Friday when the team sent former All-Star right-handed Trevor Cahill and left-hander reliever Craig Breslow to the Arizona Diamondbacks for three prospects. Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports says the Diamondbacks will non-tender LHP Joe Saunders tonight, but will try to to re-sign him.
